Chabad-Lubavitch
A beacon of Jewish light and joy in more than 100 countries
What is Chabad-Lubavitch?
Chabad-Lubavitch is one of the most influential Chassidic movements in the world. The name "Chabad" (חב״ד) is an acronym of three Hebrew philosophical concepts: Chochmah (wisdom), Binah (understanding) and Da'at (knowledge), the three highest intellectual faculties of the Jewish soul.
Founded in 1775 in Belarus by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the movement was born with a unique vision: to make the deepest wisdom of Judaism accessible to every Jew, without exception.
Today Chabad is the most geographically widespread Jewish organisation in the world. Its emissaries — young couples sent to remote communities — bring the light of the Torah to places no other Jewish institution reaches.
In Valencia, Beit Chabad is part of this global network. Our doors are open to every Jew, whatever their background, level of observance or knowledge.

Philosophical pillars
Ahavat Yisrael
Unconditional love for every Jew
Every Jew, whatever their level of observance, background or knowledge, is loved and welcome. There are no conditions. This is the cornerstone of everything Chabad does.
Chochmah, Binah, Da'at
The intellect in the service of the soul
The name Chabad is an acronym of the three highest intellectual faculties. Chabad philosophy holds that deep understanding transforms the heart and life.
Shlichus
The mission to illuminate the world
Chabad sends emissaries (shluchim) to the most remote corners of the planet — not to wait for Jews to come, but to go out and find them wherever they are.
The Tanya
The bible of Chassidism
Published in 1797 by the Alter Rebbe, the Tanya is Chabad's central philosophical work. It explains how the Jewish soul can serve G-d with joy and full intention.
Kiruv
Bringing closer, without judging
Chabad doesn't ask what you know or how much you observe. The only requirement is to be Jewish. Each person is welcomed where they are and accompanied at their own pace.
Simchah
Joy as a spiritual tool
Joy is not optional in Chabad Chassidism — it is an obligation. Serving G-d with sadness closes spiritual doors; serving Him with joy opens them all.
